The San Gabriel Mountains northeast of Los Angeles are prominently featured in the computer-generated east-northeast perspective view of the Los Angeles area. The full size image in high resolution is magnificent (link below).
The image was generated using topographic data from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) and an enhanced color satellite image. The SRTM project is managed by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), Pasadena, California.
